HomeworkCoach is a division of Deo Gloria LLC, incorporated in Cobb County, Georgia on January 1, 2002.  Deo Gloria's first company was In-Home Tutors, a successful tutoring service that has served more than 2,500 students in Atlanta and now operates in Dallas, Detroit, Nashville, Orlando and Connecticut as well as Atlanta.  Our homework coach methodology has been developed and tested with hundreds of In-Home Tutors' clients.   Deo Gloria LLC has an A+ rating with the Atlanta-area Better Business Bureau.

Directors' Profile 

Deo Gloria LLC is owned by Dennis and Deelee Freeman, who have lived in the Atlanta area since 1996. Dennis has an M.A. in Psychology from the University of Cincinnati. Deelee has an M.A. in Communications from the University of Denver. They have two children in the Cobb County school system and one in college.

The director of HomeworkCoach is Kim Hakes. Kim has lived in the Atlanta area since 1994. She has a Bachelor of Industrial Engineering degree from Georgia Institute of Technology. Kim and her husband, Vern, have three children who attend both public and private schools in the metro area.

Our relationship with Ridgway Coaching LLC

Dennis first heard Selma Ridgway speak about homework coaching at a Learning Disabilities of Georgia conference in 2003.  Selma developed and tested a wide range of studying and coaching strategies  while running the Transition Program at Woodward Academy, one of the top private schools in Atlanta.   Selma left Woodward after 27 years to focus on her coaching business and has joined forces with Deo Gloria LLC to provide ongoing training and supervision of our homework coaches.  She also is responsible for most of the content contained in the 50-page training manual that all our coaches receive.

Ms. Ridgway holds a Master of Arts Degree in Educational Counseling and a Master of Mathematics Education Degree. She is a Certified School Counselor, and a Certified Professional Co-active Coach. She is a member of the ADHD Coaches Organization, as well as the Association of Tutoring Professionals, the Georgia Coaches Association and the International Coach Federation.  Her website is RidgwayCoaching.com.

Deo Gloria is a Latin phrase that we translate "To God be the Glory."  The name is a reminder to ourselves not to cut corners but to conduct our business in a way that brings honor to God.
